Roberto Ferraris Barbera d'Asti Dojan

Good deep colour and a rich, fruity nose. The palate had matured and improved since our last bottle a year ago - much richer and deeper. Rich dark cherry fruit and spice with well balanced (but less pronounced) acidity, some savoury notes later, and soft integrated tannins. Quite smooth and long with good mouthfeel. Good fruit on the nose with vanilla developing later. The palate shows attractive ‘sweet’ cherry fruit with soft tannins and enough balanced acidity for food. Very good value at Aldi UK. (Rated 90 by Decanter.)
