Valentines with the SLDS - February 2018 Tasting : Aromatically punchy with musk, roses, lemon and lime with pineapple as well. There is a twinge of sugar on the palate that does a lot to temper the young acidity. Good power from the fruit, this drinks really well already with its aromatic profile and fresh palate, but it would be interesting to see what further time does.

Nose of lemon, lime zest, and kerosene. Palate is medium-bodied, combining sweet lemon and passionfruit with a crisp minerality. Very much over the hill, but still drinkable.

Oxidised. Similar to previous bottle, but worse.

Nose of petrol and elderflower. Palate is light-bodied, with a touch of minerality, but the flavour has been taken over by petrol and moldy lemon (botrytis influence?). Either a bad bottle or just too old. Note: still drinkable when extremely cold.

Great pungent nose with lemon, limes, roses and spice. Palate is impressively long and balanced. Tight and flinty structure.
