Animale Syrah

Popped and poured. Solid bottle of wine. Nose had elements of smoked meat with thyme and sage. On the palate, it jumped back and forth between sweet black fruits and a briny cured olive flavor. Balanced acidity. Tannins were well integrated. Have to imagine that this is at it's peak, though I don't see it going down hill anytime soon. Beautiful finish that brought you back to the olive component. Would purchase again.
