Weingut Danner Pinot Noir Typ 3

Ripe bright red fruit, especially cherries, in the nose. Some underwood. Evolved and mature but still fresh enough. On the palate again quite fruity but with spices and underwood a good deal more complex than your average pinot noir. Very round and smooth, almost new world style but still fresh and elegant enough to make it morish. Excellent value.

Starting to develop a little orange rim in the relative dark crimson red. Ethereal notes combined with lots of fruit. Interestingly not only the typical Pinot berries (although ripe (grilled) strawberry is present) but also darker cherries and floral notes. Some spicy notes tug in. On the palate still not fully evolved, but very nice and complex flavors of dark berries, cherries, again these ethereal notes and savory spices.
