I dont understand this underrated score, it is marvelous now, Burgundy PC level juice. I adore wines from this Margaret River estate and this is just another single vineyard gem. Fermented with a mix of cultured & wild yeast, aged 10 months in FR oak, 40% new. Intense complex aroma of peaches, pears, limes, oyster shells, flint, stone, gunpowder. Medium body, silky and elegant, refined and deep, showing incredible length and envious minerality, fantastic balance and alluring structure along crisp …

100% Margaret River Chardonnay. The wine gets a brief period of skin contact following the crush. Barrel-fermented in French oak barrels (40% new), some lots spontaneously and some with selected yeasts. Aged for 9 months. 13,5% alcohol. Pale and rather neutral whitish-green color. The nose feels youthful, quite restrained and slightly reduced with relatively Chablis-like aromas of sea breeze and crushed sea shells, some leesy tones, a little bit of spicy wood, light crunchy notes of fresh white peach and …

There is a punchy, confident appeal to this chardonnay! Excellent alternative to Meursault – I must restock. Expect a rich peach, lemon-curd & toasted-hazelnut nose with a touch of jasmine. The palate unfurls plenty of flavorsome, ripe stone-fruit flesh & then zips taut, with bracing acidity on that mouthwatering finish. Steely & yet… rich & long. 😊 Decant 45 to let the oak blow off. Better yet, let it ride to 2025 easy.

Muted nose, just a hint of tropical fruit. Very similar mouthfeel to Leeuwin's Art Series- smooth, silky, and a burst of oak, citrus, and acid, all nicely balanced. Slightly less complexity than the Art Series, and notably less finish. Overall, I was blown away by how interesting & good this is for the price.

Recent one off purchase from the local big box wine store ($24.99). Never had this before, but I've had a few vintages of its big brother, the ponderously named Art Series, which in its best years, gives high end CA chards and white Burgundies a run for their money. PnP. Very muted nose on this, with only the slightest hint of tart citrus. On the palate, lots of lime with generous amounts of lemon and grapefruit. I don't know if …

Good value here. Smooth citrus driven style of wine, with subtle creamy notes. Some white stone fruit too. Well balanced.

Degustation Lunch with 'Museum' Wine Flight (Leeuwin Estate, Stevens Rd, Margaret River WA 6285, Australia) : Light silver gold. Nose is quite muted but high piano notes, hints of fresh almonds, white shoe cream, vanilla pod. Palate is really fresh, both charred lemon skins and fresh-squeezed lemon and lime... lots of lime. Salivating. Moderate weight and length. A bit of alcoholic heat. Best drank young but could improve for 2-3 years. I liked this and drank a bigger glass elsewhere …

Xmas Meal with Ann(e)s & David (Howies Waterloo Place) : Clean, silvery green. Fresh fruits, pears and melons. Something like green olives there too. Lovely lively acidity, decent length. Not much butter or honey but touches too. Very pleasant.

All the other comments are spot on. Delicious wine. Depth and complexity. Drunk with salmon, roasted vegetables, new potatoes and garlic mayonnaise. Perfect!

Excellent colour of silvery green. Smokey, toasty nose and the dominant flavour and purest long finish was grapefruit. Best Chard of the day for me, showing plenty of life ahead.

Business class Emirates Hits hard early with sawdust and toasty oak on the nose and palate. Settles down and the oak seems to blow off. Classy wine that is very middle ground bu travels it well. Stoney and slightly spicey backbone.

Color: Pale lemon gold On the nose: Aroma of toast (evolves over time), bouquet of tropical fruits like pineapple and a little savory note Palate: Dry with very high acidity, well integrated oak, alcohol. Medium bodied, the wine finishes medium + with distinctive toasty finish. While the wine evolves over short period of airing, some tradeoff is observed where the wine weakens in layer and texture. Conclusion: Very elegant chardonnay with moderate complexity which left a strong impression and reminiscent …

very toasty nose, tropical fruit - bananas even. Smells like an old school oz chard. very dry, lemony, mineral and then a long toasty finish, nutty even Lots of oak but very nicely balanced. Love the contrast between the voluptuous nose and the elegant taste.

Cream, butter, minor vanilla, stone fruit and lemon with slight cinnamon spice on the nose. In the mouth the is slightly tart stone fruit underpinned by a touch of lemon, cream and butter join on the long finish. Better integrated than last time I tried it. Quite nice.

- Light gold color and aromas of kerosene, asparagus and apricot. It's overly acidic and has flavours of lemon, peach, apple and leesy with a light/medium body. Narrow texture with a short finish.

medium lemon coloured, Aromas of citrus and peach, slight butter toast and oak. In the mouth it is disjointed - there is citrus (lemon) and stone fruit, there is oak spice and buttery malolactic but they're all apart from one another. The mouthfeel is enhanced by what I can only assume is lees time and battonage. The long finish introduces a little bitterness as well. I think it just needs a bit more time but it's good for their second …
