Cabernet resembling Lodi Zinfandel? Figure it out: Decanted 45 mins. ahead off of just a bit of sediment. Very dark, almost espresso color of garnet and coffee. Nice but shy classic-cabernet nose, with plums, dust, spices, a touch of mushrooms. Smooth and dark on the palate as age has smoothed it out. Texture has a bit of syrup. Finishes richly, with a dusting of tannins holding on, along with black pepper and creosote. I can't remember what I paid for …
