Underlying grassy notes with sauv Blanc kiwi fruit and other tropical fresh fruit. Palate has a minerality and a solid acid backbone. The wine has a long life ahead of it. Simply Delicious

This still is my favourite Sauvignon semillon. The nose is extremely vibrant with lemon blossom charred preserved lemon, guava and kaffir lime with hints of spicy oak that’s adding character and herbs. The palate has citrus flavours gooseberry and tropical fruit interspersed with an attractive oak characters. It’s got a long life ahead of itself.

Another amazing wine being produced from the guys at Stella. From Augusta in the very south of the Margaret River region, the wine is a classic, complex and unique example of Margaret River’s signature regional white blend. The aroma is extremely vibrant and jumps out of the glass with intoxicating fresh guava, cantaloupe, tangerine, kaffir lime leaf and lemon rind are complimented by well-integrated scents of smokey new oak. The palate is exceptionally fresh and crisp with incredible minerality. Flavours …

Golden straw yellow in colour. A summer of freshness citrus and apple. A crisp medium bodied palate, a taste of vanilla oak, giving way to fresh limes and a long finish. A perfect summer tipple. Now for the '07.

Getting better. Oak still makes its presence felt with spice and cedar framing the asparagus, pea and citrus fruit. Perfect balance of weight, power and finesse. Length to burn.

Herbaceous, grass, tobacco leaf, tinned beans and what I thought was a whiff of disinfectant on the nose. A tangy element to the palate. I didn't really enjoy this but others at the table certainly did. I came back to the wine later in the evening to see if my opinion would be kinder to it after some more wine has been consumed, but I still didn't like it.
