Decanted. Nearing purple in the glass. Nose of candied strawberries and smoke. Loads of tannin in this thing. Unexpectedly rich for a Beaujolais. Strawberries, gunpowder, smoke, and some moderate blueberry. Could use a little more acidity for food. Length is medium. All in all, a wine that is drinking nicely right now, but could probably use some time for the structure to iron out. Could be better in a couple of years.

Vivid ruby color. Gorgeous nose: sweet strawberry candy, fresh raspberry, sandalwood, clove, and orange peel. Medium/lighter body on the palate: lots of delicious strawberry candy and raspberry accented with more sandalwood, orange peel, and hints of graphite. Bright, juicy acidity. Moderate/firm dusty tannins. Lingering dusty graphite and sandalwood on the moderate/long finish. Excellent Beaujolais. Structured, charming, and elegant.

(from memory) PnP. Dark crimson to purple in color. Nose of strawberries and other red fruits. On the palate, concentrated dark red fruits with some blueberry. Impressive amount of tannin and acidity in this wine. Needs a decant and some cellar time, but is tasting pretty good right now. Finish is medium.

Much richer and plump than I was expecting - dark core to this wine with a lingering nose of liquorice cut through with crisp red fruit. Excellent balance - at the fuller end of the Beuajolais spectrum but still with that food-friendly rigidity. Very good.
