A classic Spätlese but a bit to the heavy side. Got a lot of pineapple and unmature mango. Miss a bit of acid and freshness but it gets more of that if matched with the right food.

Orange marmalade, honeyed apricot, pomelo, wild oats. Creamy, viscous texture, but bright, like honey lemonade. Gorgeous acid on the midpalate. Excellent mineral tinged finish, with florals and beeswax. This is drinking well, but will last easily through the decade. 25-30 year old vines primarily from parcels neighboring the top hillside sites, but also includes a pre-selection of fruit from Kiedrich Klosterberg and Gräfenberg. All stainless. 52.7 g/l RS. 750 cases made.

Muted nose. Candied peaches, pears, acidity on the palate. Could be more mineral. Barest hint of honey just starting to show. At very beginning of its drinking window and much more integrated than my last bottle 6 months ago. Nice pairing with a grilled peach/mozzarella/candied pistachio salad.

Solid and balanced. Full bodied. Flavors lack the charming or wow factor. Pretty good wine, though.

A little bit dryer that in other vintage - 7 grams I think I heard. Smells very brioche on the nose. Smells great actually. Crisp and lively on the palate. Super elegant vintage I am being told and there it is.

A week or three days after the Kabinett, lots of depth there, much richness.

Pale yellow colour, medium sized bubbles, smells of pear and slightly of apricot, full body, nice acidity, in the mouth pear and a little bit of apricot, not overly dry, so not tart, in the aftertaste acidity, pear and a little bit of apricot, good length (15 sec), good Riesling Sekt, but too expensive, similar quality can be had elsewhere for less money, but then it doesn’t say ‘Robert Weil’ on the label.

Nose of citrus and green apples. Weighty and full bodied but does not have the bright acidity you would hope for. Good balance.

Not on the same level as some for the the site spatlese but this despite its youth was wonderful and paired so well with sushi, notes of line, lemon rind, apple, slight honeyed notes and wet stone, really fresh and lively palate with more lime, green apple coming through, medium plus acidity and finish

Tea and fresh, graceful, lively, again, odd for me but kinda simple on the back of the palate. But that I think is because I usually tastes the dries. From the same vineyards, top of the hill, closest to the forest. In vintages where other vineyards would already be starving of water the top of the hill near the forest holds the water.
