Better preserved bottle (slightly higher fill) than previous. Outstanding and right at late maturity.

This presented as on the downslope but would have been really great 3-4 years ago. I have a couple more bottles and will confirm.

No notes taken but seems to be at peak drinking still; smooth and classic CF profile. will confirm with further tasting. 3 bottles left

Super dark, opaque, tannic. Not rich, creamy or vanilla-laced. Blackberries, black cherries and violets with an obligatory green (cassis?) note. Decanting to get some air into it recommended. Easily another 2-4 years of peak drinking.

A very good Bordeaux-esque Cab Franc - possibly my favourite from South Africa. Dark, cassis and graphite. Rich and delicious. A little bit flabby perhaps - a general note with this vineyard but this vintage seems rounder than usual in that respect - a touch more precision and acidity would not go amiss. 91+ 2011 was a bit too hot in Stellenbosch and many wines lack acid and/or had ripening issues.
