Domaine des Tours Vaucluse Réserve Merlot-Syrah

Surprisingly still very young, almost no tertiary notes, mostly red fruits with some greenness/freshness coming from the whole bunch and some spice. Would decant few hours before. Enjoyable now but will improve with further cellaring. Wouldn’t rush to drink it.

Lunch GVDMQS du 29 août 2025 : Un nez de syrah que je voyais en Rhône nord. La bouche est puissante et fraiche, savoureuse, un rien rustique. Une cuvée que j'ai rarement goûtée, que je n’avais pas apprécié avant celle-ci. Il fallait donc me la servir à l'aveugle!! Très bon, bien qu'on n'y a pas retrouvé les marqueurs classiques des vins d'Emmanuel Reynaud. 91 pts

Ouvert au débotté, le vin est immédiatement accessible. Robe très sombre, profonde, magnifique nez très sudiste,figue, pruneau, framboise confiturée, notes de fève de Tonka. L’attaque est sérieuse, dense, mais avec assez étonnamment de la fraîcheur. Une présence tannique, mûre mais encore bien présente, enrobé par un fruit sensuel. Assez corpulent pour un Reynaud, il se défend bien sûr les boulettes aux champignons parfumés ! Très très bon !

Bel aromatique comme toujours, bien plaisant et surprenant de boire ce vin comme à chaque occasion.

Magnificent and unique wine. Herbaceous, fruit-driven and extremely lively. Complex spicy notes, stables and mushroom go well with the raspberry, plum and floral tones in the wine. Long finish. Drink now.

Stort og konsentrert anslag med mørke bær (a la blåbær), svale urter og et kalkete bakteppe som holder det hele veldig friskt. Veldig moderat, men deilig fatpreg. Lang og konsentrert, bløte tanniner, kalkmineraliteten blir værende i lang finish. Litt lakris mot slutten av smakskurven. Veldig lang, 2 min+ finish. Latterlig digg vin.

This was lovely, rich concentrated and bursting with fruit. Sensual nose of violets dark berries and eucalyptus. Can age but drinking today. Still prefer the higher granache variants though.

This was fine. Really ripe, with some figgy fruit and high alcohol showing, it was a neat expression from Reynaud but not my favorite vintage in CDP. Big scaled though
