Smooth, nice tannins mid-palate, starting to have some fruit fade, cranberry, dark berries, and spice box. I wouldn't wait too much longer. Still nice but lacks some of the freshness and richness it once had. Nice effort!

Incredible bargain! We opened this to be consumed with a Ham and Mushroom aux choux. Absolutely stunning wine. Silky tannins with dark berries and balanced acidity.

Yummy! I am so sorry for the previous reviewers who had a subpar experience with this wine because this is drinking beautifully right now. I don't know if it was storage or just not ready to drink. Dave Phinney has outdone himself! Long legs, round, smooth, medium long finish, blackberries, blueberries, spice box, everything has come together into an elegant wine. I am delighted that I have 2 bottles left. I wouldn't wait too much longer on the 2014, but …

Even with 6 years in bottle, still coming in hot. A bit disjointed and disorganized, but you can feel it coming together. Perhaps another year or two, but this seems like Dave is just riding out his reputation to sell $13 wine for $40.

Another year goes by and viola, my last bottle actually tastes good. Was going to use this for pot roast but after tasting first, I decided to drink instead. The reviews I have seen are all over the place, as are mine. These must have been stored improperly. Nice southern Rhone blend from Dave. 3.6 stars.

Light vinegar, rubber in the nose. Nice mouthfeel, subtle tannins. Off-putting, bitter finish

Not up to Dave Phinney's usual quality. I had my first bottle a year ago and thought it needed more time. A year later I am still waiting since the wine tastes green and hot. I want to like it...but no cigar. Better grenache based wine out there at better pricing.

This is a fabulous wine with great QPR. I am having a problem with some of the low scores given this wine. Great fruit, long finish, soft tannins.

Definitely a full-bodied wine made in a new world style. This wine desperately needs some lift to balance out how heavy it is on the palate, but it never really comes. There's an odd fragrant note up front that smells like a man's cologne, there's some smoke and some dark fruit too. This wine felt truly out of balance to me.It was, however, a little better with food.

Another outstanding David Phinney wine. Incredible value for $24. All grenache, but clearly has a Spanish heritage--much to rich and full for a French Grenache. I loved this wine. Great QPR. Wonderful fruit without being overbearing up front. The body of syrah or Mourvedre. But none of the Syrah smoke/tar. I would always bue.

A big fat fatty, at least for my tastes, but good in a purely hedonistic way.

This wine is a disjointed mess. Syrupy fruit up front, with a thin watery mid-palate, and a vile bitter/stemmy finish.

Allez Les Bleu (Mövenpick retail store, Hamburg) : A very fullbodied and dense showing, the fruit (too) sweet, too high ABV (15,2%), sweet black fruit, more the marmelade style, very lush though, a high class sweet fruit monster, not made for me, *(*-?)

Better on day 2, but kind of unspectacular.

100% Grenache, 15.2%. Big, but not sticky sweet. Mid palate isn't too overdone.
