Drinking very well now. This opened up tart, integrated to smoothness, and then lost its verve at the 2 hr mark. I wouldn't call it over the hill, but I would have preferred more presence. Cherry, rhubarb, and a long, smooth finish. My wife declared - not my style of pinot. She didn't care for the more Cali coastal/Oregon/Burgundy style acidity. Me - 92, Wife - 89

Coming into its prime now. Still great bright red fruits, but undertones of soil and smoke make it a very interesting pinot. Good finish.

I had been wondering whether his Pinots woudl acquire the burgundian suppleness they aspired to, and having left this alone for many years can report that they have aged beautifully to that end. Nice!

Large fruit forward Pinot. Dark cherries and raspberry tones. Peppery. In a way a typical big Cali Pinot. Slightly overwrought but had tremendous fruit support. Perhaps it needs more time to integrate.

Deep cherry red core fading ever slightly to red rim. Raspberry, tobacco, leather and vanilla on the nose. Medium tannins with medium plus acidity on the palate. Black cherry, tobacco and hay on the palate. Long finish very smooth.

Aromas of raspberry, red cherry, rosemary and sage. Meaty flavors also show plenty of ripe red fruit with great concentration and lots of new oak. Good acidity, good length, but a bit tightly wound today. This will probably be better in another year or two.
