Franz Dahm Riesling halbtrocken

This was opened two days ago by my wife and I'm just getting to taste it. Nose is pretty subdued. Some petroleum notes with herbal elements. Not getting a lot of fruit the palate is a different story. Pink grapefruit with orange rind, powdered cement and citrus. This targets the saliva glands with a direct hit. Each sip leaves you salivating just a little bit for the next one. Light + body. Good intensity for a wine at this price.

Nose - white pepper, gravel, pear skin. Hint of salinity. Carries over to the palate. Palate - just barely off-dry. Orange marmalade, powdered cement, grapefruit. Mid weight. Finishes with bright acidity. Nice through the entire palate.
