Outstanding. This aged perfectly. Still plenty of structure. Can go longer. Ripe black cherry and cassis. Leather, a little earth. So delicious for the price. Drink now-2030.

Rich, balanced and bold. Bigger and more robust than many Mt. Veeder's I have tasted. Blackberry, blueberry, tar and graphite flavors on the palate. Quite full bodied with a lingering finish and ample tannins are present.

Great color. Good clarity. Black and blue fruit on the palate. One of the bigger, powerful, brooding Veeders that I have had. Nicely balanced with ample tannins and a long lingering finish.

Lyon Holiday Open House (Where Else?) : Now a mini-battle of 10 year old Mt Veeder Cabs! This one starts with some warm cassis and blackberry fruit, some espresso, then it runs into a earth and wet stone wall! Structure is nearly resolved. Now-2030.

Jammy black and blue fruit on the palate. Secondary notes of bay leaf and coffee. Full bodied and rather brooding as Spring Mountain usually is. Quite full bodied with grippy tannins. This could go another 2-3 years without diminution.

Bright red raspberry and dark cherry on the palate. Secondary notes of tar and a hint of graphite. Full bodied with nicely integrated tannins. Drinking well now but still has some years to go

Starting to show well, although tannins are still a bit grippy. A little bit of air will do this well, but I'll wait on my final 2 for another few years. Also had a fair amount of sediment as well.

Inky purple in color. Blackberry and sour cherry on the front palate…a bit surprising as I typically look for red fruit in a Mt. Veeder Cabernet. Full bodied with a medium finish. Plenty of grippy tann8ns still but this is starting to become more balanced. Big, bold and very tasty.

This wine is good. Fresh out of the bottle it was very tight, but enjoyable if you like bold cabs. After coming back to the bottle which was sealed for 2 days, it had mellowed quite a bit and was much smoother. I would have this wine again.

Excellent. Spice and Pepper jump right out mixed with dark red fruit. Will be even better in a few years as the acidity mellows.

This is really nice and jammy. Lots of life left. Won’t come back for another 3 years at least.

Tremendous potential in 3 to 5 years. Deep indigo color. Blackberry, black raspberry, tobacco box, coffee and anise on the palate. Full bodied with a long, lingering finish. Only some very young and grippy tannins make this a bit disjointed. I have always thought the Freemark Mt. Veeder had more depth and complexity than other Mt. Veeder offerings except Mayacamas and this is no exception. Just needs time.

Very good bottle. Both black and red fruit, great oak and smoke balance, and very full bodied. Excellent bottle.

This is starting to come together very nicely and wish I had more! A bit more balanced than a year ago, still young but approachable now with a decant.

A bit of sediment, which was filtered out by a very fine mesh filter.

Dark cherry nose, with hints of green pepper and liquorish. Complex texture. Acidic and very tannic. Good medium long finish.

This is just starting to open into an early drinking window - but I probably won't try another one till next year. A bit acidic on the front but smooths out with some decant. Strong aroma and lasting finish! A great Freemark and I just bought 2 more on their Black Friday Sale!

Dark purple in the glass, brandishing its youthfulness. The bouquet show black currant, blackberry, baking spices and tobacco. The palate brings more currant, cassis, black cherry and smoked meat. Acidity is still medium high, balanced by chewy tannins. Medium long finish, with a touch of juicy spice. Well made with lots of potential, although still a bit primary right now. Day two was showing smoother tannins and a bit more finesse.
