Hardys Cabernet Sauvignon HRB D670

Deep purple colour. Medium aroma of dried herbs, grass, plum, white pepper. Sweet plum, blueberry, cherry. Ripe fruit, medium sweetness, persistent dusty tannin. Medium + acidity, long grippy finish. A big powerful wine with fresh ripe fruit. The dry tannin tends to dominate though. Give it a few more years. I notice Halliday gave it a 40 live, perhaps a bit overkill but indicative of a long life ahead.

A full bodied wine that can be enjoyed without waiting. Not great finesse but punches above its weight for the price.

Opens with a flow of coconut oak, then a palate of perfectly ripe toasted blue fruits with an amazingly long finish and dusty delicious tannin. Outstanding.
