Dark purple red color. Scents of cherry blossom, pomegranate and stems. Intense red cherry flavor, a bit of cement, a touch of green herbs and some grippy tannins on the medium length finish. Monochromatic but very glugable. Nice.

Brian's Birthday Dinner (Imperial Treasure Super Peking Duck, Paragon) : This had a sweet, leafy nose, with cranberries and strawberries wed to bits of capsicum, ginseng and green spinach notes. The palate was an echo of the nose, with sweet berry fruit wed to green herb and bramble notes, with a hit of bright acidity and fine tannins trailing away into the finish.

Just enough green pepper to be interesting without being overwhelming. Would buy again.

Really singing now (*), wish I'd taken notes. There was something high-pitched on the nose that somehow brought a pleasurable sensation of funk, some barnyard, but not really. Some blood / mineral, a touch of dried and fresh herbs, just-ripe and ripe black and red fruit. I did not note much change over a few hours drinking the bottle. * This bottle was stored in good, but imperfect conditions at about 65F with seasonal variation. So it is likely "ahead" …

A nice purple hue greets you with this wine which is typical Cab Franc and a very good representative. This tasted fresh and looked lovely in the glass

Definite brett, horse sweat and a bit effervescent on opening. Some chewy, cherry notes around the brett. Seemed oak free. Not great, not awful like the wine it replaced.

After 1 hour decant, again, a very interesting flavor profile. But fell apart on the 2nd day.

Nicely balanced, started a little acidic but Ai did not detect that after it had breathed a little longer

I notice all other tasting notes do not address the nose on this wine and I can see why, hard to really define. On the other hand, the palate has fresh raspberry and redcurrant flavors, fine texture with a nice mineral finish. Structured but light on its feet. Just the perfect combination of red fruit flavors laced with spice, earth, and herbs. Hardly any vegetal/brambly character. Very nice wine.

J took a sip and said "That's interesting!". Lots of different flavors, with only a hint of green pepper. Most enjoyable Cab Franc I've ever had, probably because it didn't taste that much like Cab Franc.

Dark but very lively. This to me was Bordeaux cab franc meets Beaujolais. Very fun young wine. Ripe fruit upfront, but more savory on the finish. Tasty! A good summer red to barbecue with.

Earthy, smooth, savory version of Chinon that was quite nice but more Rhone than otherwise Loire in many respects. Dark fruits. The Cab Franc in this bottling has none of the tell tale green pepper so common in other stuff from the area. Full of rich smooth tannins, silky finish. Very nice.

Brambly cherries, underbrush, and that unique Loire valley cab franc vegetal thing. Noticeable tannins. Drank on it's own -- but would be spectacular with a rustic French country meal.

I am not sure why I like Cab Franc so much but it is difficult to go more that a few days without returning to the clean refreshing taste of the nectar. As this goes it was not overly strong on the definite Loire taste as it was more subtle. It took me to the banks of that river with a picnic basket in hand when it would have tasted so much better than looking out on the snow in …

Dark reddish purple but with a light red rim. Strongly tangy metallic nose. Taste is raspberry, initially soft, then with some heft in the mouthfeel and with a medium long, tannic finish. Good

excellent. generous nose with hints of sandlewood, fleshy but not heavy on the palate with gentle supporting acids and light tannins. i think this will be just beautiful with 3-5 years in the bottle.

Lovely... juicy old vines Chinon, a nice streak of wet cement with the dark berry fruit. For drinking sooner rather then cellaring. Great with red beans and rice.
