The wine it self was very good from past experiences. Truly tastes like an Amarone, very well balanced. Well integrated alcohol for 14.9% and I would suggest potentially slightly higher. Wonderful dried fruit and hints of vanilla and clove. Unfortunately, though still drinkable this one was past its prime 12 years later.

Couleur orangée. Donne beaucoup au nez acidité présente initialement, remplacé par une rondeur et une pleinitude en bouche. Réglisse et gros fruits, longs en bouche.

The wine looks crimson colored. The legs are medium. There is no sediment in the bottle. It smells like baker's yeast and fig. It tastes like cherry. The body is full. The wine finishes long. The wine has medium acidity.

Easy, easy drinking. The apassamiento style makes this very soft and velvety. Lots of dried fruit flavor -- prune, raisin, etc. Matched well with Argentinian steak and chimichurri sauce.
