Explosive fruit bomb. Nothing subtle about this one.

Consistent with my last note and others. An extraordinary wine. This could easily go another decade.

An outstanding bottle of wine. Very full-bodied with layered structure. Drinking very well now but appears to have many more enjoyable drinking years remaining.

Intense wine from start to finish. Aromas of sharp cherry and tastes of fresh fruit with an intense brilliant finish of pepper.

Sineann Block One Cab (02 -12) plus some others (My Home) : Purple in color, ruby at the rim. The nose has cherries and some cassis. A bit of cedar. This seems a bit lighter than most and the oak a bit more obvious. It keeps improving in the glass. Probably would be better on its own than in this setting due to its body.

Sineann Block One Cab (02 -12) plus some others (My Home) : Purpkle in color, but flat. This started off weak and disjointed. With air it really came together. Tart cherries and tarragon on the nose. Medium bodied. Some heat on the finish. Frankly, I expected more until I went back a few times. After about an hour it started to show it stuff. A lighter more red fruit profile Cab.

Popped and drank over 4 days. Initially noted red berries, most notably strawberry. The tannins all but disappeared on the 3rd day, but the flavor remained delicious. Although the high alcohol content was high at 15.4%, it wasn't overbearing. This was my first bottle of Sineann, and it was a good experience. As an interesting side note, the bottle comes with a glass cork.

A wonderfully complex bottle of wine with explosive flavors on the tongue and a full spectrum palate of fruit, mushrooms, chocolate, sweet anise. Sadly, a single bottle bought at auction, the label said $60, but, who knows what it cost as a part of a larger lot of mostly Chardonnays (why include this?). None the less, this was an extraordinary bottle which was decanted leaving a mass of gooey sediment and some chunks and yielding a dark liquor of deep …

Gorgeous; has integrated beautifully with age. Turning a deep brickish red in color. Herbs, spices and a touch of cedar to my palette, along with dried black cherries and currants. Opened for an hour before it really showed it's stuff...glad I have one more; will enjoy this at 15

Wow. As opposed to my recollection of previous 2002 Block Ones, namely, tight but good, this was ready for business right away. Nose of dark fruit, mushrooms and a hint of stewed meats. It added body and complexity as it got air, truly a beautiful wine. Glad I've got some left. The wife scored it 95.

Deep nose. Ethyl acetate blows off quickly. Dried flowers and tobacco. Dark cherry and sage notes are juxtaposed with mocca and anise. Medium palate with an oily quality, but seems to be a bit compact and shallow.

Nose of vanilla, dark berries and chocolate. Big up front with a little bit of a hole in the mid palate. Good finish, big chewy tannins. Needs more time still imo. Good stuffing here.

Very expressive nose of mint, smoke, black cherry. Palate is very fresh and not cloying.

A wonderful wine. Complex aromas, possibly some green leaf, too. Pretty rich by itself and proved to be very food friendly. Decanted for about an hour. The last sips were heavenly. Quite smooth with some deep flavors.

Deep dark red in color but, not opaque. Nose of mint, cassis, dark chocolate, black cherry. Very well integrated tannins and flavor profile of ripe bright red fruits with a touch of oak. Nice acidity! Keeps me coming back for more.
