Sandhill Winery Cabernet Sauvignon

Enjoyed the cherry and plum with some tobacco/ leather aging. Slight tannin and acid bite dissipated quickly for smooth taste. Rich red brick color. Too bad we had only one bottle.

Past its prime. Drink now.

I was completely exhausted when we opened this on an average Friday night, as I had been traveling for business. I love aged wines, but this was nothing memorable. Nothing offensive, but kind of washed out, and lacking in much flavor or depth. Perfectly fine is all.

B+ - Really nice, smooth texture, fully integrated fruit and tannin. Definitely the best of the three bottles I have had of this - also the last. Probably at it's peak right now.

Not nearly as impressed with this wine as I was the Merlot as it was decidedly tannic. However, I did pick up some good leafy tobacco, sage, earth, and coffee notes.
