Roshambo Syrah

A much better bottle than the first. This still showed a great level of frehness, although a lack of depth and complexity. Decanted and enjoyed over about three hours. What a difference a bottle makes.

I purchased this an experiment to see how this would age. Ten years down the road, the answer is not well. Very promising nose at first, dense fruit, evolution without earthy/barnyard flavors, but becomes very chemical tasting, Windex city.

Very nice spicy nose with the classic Syrah dark, warm fruit notes. This is a full bodied Syrah but maintains balance throughout and finishes with light spices and delicate tannins. One of the better Syrahs from Dry Creek and by far the best wine Roshmbo has made recently.

Not overall a big fan of Roshambo; however, if you let this breathe for some a solid hour, it becomes quite a nice Syrah.

rather tasty for a Syrah, which we usually don't care for.
