This is brilliant. Still young but drinking beautifully. Balance of fruit, wood, tannins and acid. Under cork but a good one, barely a mil of travel on the base of the cork. luscious colour in the body with a garnet border. could probably go another decade in a good cellar but just brilliant drinking now. 94

What a lovely surprise and absolute pleasure to drink. This was one of those "last bottles" that had been relegated to a back corner in our cellar and recently rediscovered. Decanted for 30 minutes and served with dinner. It had a moderately heavy crystalline sediment that kept to the bottom of the bottle during the decant. On the nose, sweet dark fruit. Maybe a little bacon fat (maybe wishful thinking)? In the mouth, big, rich, fruity, decent acid. Not the kind of wine I prefer anymore, but good of this type. My last bottle.

Decanted about an hour and drank in a bordeaux glass. Good fruit, not over the top, didn't have overwhelming alcohol. Seems to be drinking well.

Powerful nose of Cherry Coke and blueberry, with toasted coconut, wood shavings and something floral. Good balance for such a bold shiraz. Silky texture, with blueberry-vanilla flavors, blackberry, eucalyptus, earth and spice. Touch of annoying alcohol on the finish.

As promised, kept this for a few more years, and....it had not changed that much. Mainly blackberry and blue blueberry fruit, very well balanced, soft tannins, juicy currant acidity, all without the overwhelming alcohol of some SA shirazes. This is a very good wine, which just lacks some complexity.

Full-forward dark cherry, dry earth, eucalyptus. Not too much tannin, and just enough acidity to think that this might improve a modest amount with another year in the bottle. But, too bad, as this was my last one! Liked a lot, esp compared to other full-throttle Aussie shirazes.

Still superb chewy fruit. Deep purple color. Not much nose - a little hot if anything. But one sip and the transport is to chocolate, blueberry, blackberry and fig mid-palate. Long singing finish.

This is really the wine that got me started. Outstanding from the minute opened to hours later. Inky purple color. Berries, lemon-lime and chocolate cocoa artfully arranged with a long finish. A dream.

Inky purple with the slightest brown tinge. Insanely tasty for the price. One of the wines that got me hooked. Liquorice, cherry spice, nutmeg and lemon cream in a long 30 second finish. I'd buy more tomorrow.
