Domaine de la Grosse Pierre Morgon Douby

Sappy and savoury this tasted of tinned cherries laced with pepper. The tannins were very soft but there was still sufficient acidity to balance out the sweetness of fruit. Probably past its best (as I’d like to see the fruit a little fresher), it was still giving pleasure. CHP 88 pts

Fruit has faded but badly corked. Faulty.

Young, but tasty. Primary cherry fruit, best with a chill.

Superb purity. Hints of semi carbo. Feather light tannins. Quite primary now in a good way; a few years will be interesting. Delicious juice.
