Bright fruit and racy acidity...still. This is a rose with serious backbone, but not in an off-putting way at all. This would be a great food wine for summer salads, seafood, BBQ...it has some staying power to last at least another 1-2 years...glad I bought a case.

the lighter fruits have faded leaving tart cherry and cranberry along with very bright acid. Still a lovely wine.

Consumed over 1 1/2 hours. Floral, bright red fruit, something a little yeasty/earthy (maybe even mushroomy) which I wasn't sure was supposed to be there and was unusual but worked somehow. Glad to have a couple more.

This is a rocking rosé - everything from the bottle, to the label and most importantly, the juice. Thankfully, this is not one of you everyday, quaffable rosés. This has tons of character, dried strawberries, white and purple flowers on the nose, striking acidity and lingering dry finish. Excellent food wine. This carries through the evening for your next summer party - it's not just for appetizers or sipping by the pool.

Saignee of Pinot Noir, plus mourvedre, grenache Really distinctive nutty/cigar-leaf finish. Aromas of peaches, apples, strawberries, and ripe citrus.

evolving somewhat - more cranberry than previous bottles but plenty of acid still...

Huge, bright strawberry profile to this wine. Nice bright acidity to keep it from being flabby. Perfect summer sipping wine!

Awesome bottle of rose. Pale salmon color. Pretty nose of strawberry and dried cherry. In the mouth, reflects the nose, with a lovely floral note and a mineral streak that's refreshing. Tremendous summer wine. A-

This bottle showed heavy onion skins. A little variation?

2011 Rosés (Beltramo's, Menlo Park, CA) : Weird, green, skunky nose. Light to medium bodied with low to medium acidity. Sour raspberry, green, strange palate. I'll give this the benefit of the doubt and call it flawed although I'm not sure what the flaw is exactly.

Strawberry and watermelon flavors define this wine. Really refreshing with enough acidity to make this a great summer rosé. Now to see if I can not drink it all before August.

13.3% alcohol. Medium pink color. Pretty nose of strawberry, light berry, and minerals. In the mouth, has more substantial body than the previous, all-Pinot incarnations of this wine, but it still has a really nice, light, bright fruit sensibility. Good acidity and a solid finish. Perfect summer sipper. B+

Scallions and strawberries. Watermelons. This has some... 40% grenache and mourvedre rose instead of the pinot rose that he has traditionally made.

Not all Pinot this year -- some Grenache and Syrah round out the "magical blend". A bit oniony on the nose. Just arrived, maybe a bit shaken?
