Slightly sherried. Raisons on the nose. Not my favorite. Shows some zinful nature but more advanced than I’d like it. At times I find it compelling nonetheless. The palate is balanced but for my tastes, it is a classic case of overripe zin. Nice to have a glass with some food but not much more and I don’t see this developing into a nice pretty zinfandel with age on it.

Dark garnet with a clear ruby hue. Unremarkable nose and initial entry. Get a bit more jammy with air, but not much. Does show nice tannins and decent spice & acidity through the midpalate & finish. Good balance. Not over the top in any way. [15.5% abv.; $20.00].

I love this style Zin. 15.5%? I had to check the label to make sure. This is very well balanced, no heat. The taste is like a cooked fruit tart, almost burnt. A little wood too. Very nice, especially at this price.

Left the office in the mood for a quality CA zin and this hit the spot perfectly. Not much on the nose upon opening but after pouring through an aerator into a decanter it opened up nicely with dark fruit and slight green pepper being the dominate tastes. Smooth without much tannin it's drinking great right now.

15.5% alcohol. Showing very ripe on the nose, a port-like edge to the black fruit, but with air this opens up to be much more endearing. It might be the rare example of a really ripe wine needing more time to shed its slightly one dimensional character. The fruit and spice are well-balanced by surprising acidity. No heat. B+/A-

Hot nose with some port-like aromas, grape spirits, strawberry, blackberry, and old, musty oak. Strong acidity and alcohol on the palate battles with blackberry and boysenberry. Interesting, primal zin.

This is drinking just great right now. Rich dark fruit thats somewhat sweet, but has plenty of acidity. The alcohol isn't an issue if drank at near cellar temp, thoroughly enjoyable.

15.5% alcohol. This is such a nice, ready to drink Zinfandel. Rich, spicy nose of black fruit supported by minerals. At times, there was a little prune or port-like note to it. In the mouth, a distinctly rich note to the fruit. Nevertheless, terrific acidity. Long finish. Really drinking well right now. Such a a pleasure. Distinctly riper for a Mancini Ranch wine. B+/A-

Blind Zins For Lunch (Vineyard Music Office) : Very deeply colored this displayed huge yummy zinberry aromas. Bright palate with a good amount of tannins and big brightly fruited though somewhat straightforward giving some sweet boysenberry and licorice. Would have normally expected a big more complexity from a Swan and not quite a biggish in the fruit department.

this wine wasnt a bland as some of the other reviews said it was. let it open for 30 min and thought it developed very nicely. traditional Zin that mellowed over time. Had this with a bit of cheese, Entourage Season 4 and Hurricane Ike coverage.

15.3% alcohol. Dark red color. Opaque to the rim of the glass. Slightly port-like on the nose, showing ripe, spicy black fruit and a minerality. This is distinctly riper than the excellent 1999 and 2001. Full and round and ripe in the mouth, but it's given a lushness by the ripeness and balance with excellent acidity, which is just unavoidable from this terrific vineyard. Long finish. B+/A-

A good zin. Balanced and well put together, but otherwise, nothing noteworthy.
