PnP that was drinkable if not totally enjoyable. To its credit, there was enough acid to allow it to pair with a simple pasta dish with salsiccia. Color and fill were good+. 13,5% abv. Drink now, don't wait.

Drank over two days, with the first showing a wine that's in its final, graceful days. Medium-bodied, not much bricking (but a LOT of sediment), the tertiary notes here emphasize black truffle, soil, and old leather; only a few notes as to anything fruit or flower related. But (and you knew there had to be a 'but'), on day two, the final glass, the leather and soil are met by notes of citrus, tree bark, red floral, thyme, and berry …

Nose of black fruit, a bit muted, not particularly Chianti signature on the nose... Taste is black fruit, nice concentration, but pretty one dimensional taste, lacking a bit complexity... no faults, but not great!

Good. Oakey fruit on the nose. Red fruit, tar, tang, slight tannins, good finish. Drink now.

A little closed and almost metallic on opening. After 10 minutes it blossomed into a beautiful wine. Tannins fully integrated. Rich fruit on the palate although the nose remained subdued. This is a wonderful old wine. Assuming proper storage, no need to wait but no need to hurry either.

Found buried in cellar. Past its due date but not yet spoiled. Good seal on cork. Popped and poured with little aeration. Color is lovely medium red just starting to brick. Bouquet of saddle leather and cedar with slight funk. Tannic and woody with moderated acid. Fruit (currants maybe) fading.

Packed with ripe, sweet dark fruited flavours accented by sandalwood and minty elements. The aromatics provide more pleasure than the palate, where it feels a little soft and flabby, lacking in acidity and finishing rather short.

Really good. Well integrated. Light, very light tannins and a good finish. Drank with Pen, Shawn, and Scott. Nice time.

Supple but with decent enough grip. Black fruits, earthiness and a touch of menthol. Just the right acidity and still fresh at ag 9.

This is still drinking beautifully, though still young, at age 8. The wood is starting to integrate with the natural spiciness of the Sangiovese. Very soft and sweet-fruited, with just a little tannin in the front of the palate on the finish. This is one of those wines that will live to be quite older than you expect. Almonds, earth, chocolate, black plum, black cherry, you get the picture. lovely stuff that is coming into its own. drink this now …

Nicely balanced. Nice fruit. Cherries and a very light touch of meat. Nice soft tannins. Will drink well now and for 5 years. Good solid easy drinker.
