With Turkey for Canadian Thanksgiving - deep blood red with just a touch of browning on the rim. Fantastic Nebbiolo nose with the tar just starting to show but currently showing rose petals, damp earth and ripe dark fruit. Finish is only medium in length indicating this one still has some time to go - another3-5 years perhaps? Last bottle - sigh...

Very little sediment - decanted and served immediately. Clear, brick core of medium intensity out to an orange/brick edge - fully mature. Medium plus nose of fig, date, earth, dried cherry, tar, floral... it goes on and on. This is a wine I could nose all evening (and did!). Dry with medium body, alcohol, tannins (fully resolved but still providing some structure) and medium plus acidity. Flavours of dried red fruit with the acid sticking out just a touch but …

Light brick with a slight brown tinge. Interesting nose, very nebbiolo, with earthy, floral and cherry notes. Fairly lean on the plate, with some tannins on the back end, and more cherry and rose petal flavours. Probably better with food. Iit's an interesting and elegant wine (B+).

At Sommelier Tasting Group - Northern Italy - double decanted 6 hours before tasting Clear light brick core of moderate intensity out to a wide mahogany edge. A little orange on the rim shows some development in the bottle. Clean notes of fig along with moderate aromas on the nose of sweet coconut and vanilla. Very Pinot Noir like in it's sweet earthiness. Like smelling autumn in a bottle... - wonderful nose. Dry wine with moderate body and moderate+ tannins. …
