Black color, vivid flavors of roast ham, black olives and green herb, silky texture. Generous on the palate; perfect for current drinking.

Good Syrah, not bright flavor, but it had a big, understated flavor of leather and suede.

Dark dark red, verging on brown. Overtly fruit driven, but also apparent cream, walnut, heavy oak, cocoa and coffee on the nose, and berries, touch of cedar, black pepper on the palate. Surprisingly low tannins, feels lush in a somewhat strange way, especially for a syrah. Interesting, will probably be markedly different in 3-5 years.

From very young vines (about 5 years old) this is impressive. It needs air in this stage of it's life. Good nose with sweetness an cacao. Tannic palate, little young and a little over powering.

judgement of sweden - wines from oregon and washington state (Operaterassen, Stockholm) : Fine syrah - berry driven but pure expression.

Notes of spices

Good Syrah, reminded me more of a red blend. Less spicy & fruit forward than most Syrahs.

Switch of vintner here. More fruit, less savory. Like a Santa Barbara syrah. But still have some savoriness on the back end.
