Heavier than most pinots. In the direction of a syrah. Still.....a good wine with all of that in mind for pairing with food.

For me a Pinot Noir is all about subtleties. It must be delicate yet complex. However this OFV has the unfortunate "wood" taste added to it. Much like some supermarket Australian wines. Sorry, very disappointed.

Surprisingly different Pinot. Not a classic pinot mouthfeel by any stretch. Taste of cherry and other fruit, but not the "perfumey" taste I enjoy in great pinots. Almost tasted like it had a splash of Syrah in it. Despite the differences, I thought it was a nice, different wine that I will probably have again.
