From my 56 degree wine cellar. Decanted. Dark crimson, brick edge. Became much darker as it aired. NOSE: ink, licorice, pungent blackberry, fleeting patchouli, hint of something green (herbs of Provence?), mint. PALATE: blackberry compote but dry, cocoa, licorice; can still taste some wood indicating a few more years of drinking pleasure. Fine tannins on finish balanced by the 10 y/o but ample fruit, giving a nice lingering black tea ending. This cat has at least another 2+ years if …

Really holding up well. Rich, dark, cassis notes and plenty of life left.

A delicious cab that's rich, but in balance. Pretty straightforward, with some oak and cocoa notes backed by dark fruit. Ready to go now, but no rush.

Vin rond, sur des arômes de petits fruits, cerise et boisé. Manque de complexité. Un peu cher pour ce qu'il livre.

A pro typical Cali cab. I liked color, nose and finish. Nice fruit and smooth finish.

Lovely half bottle for price. Better when aerated and given and hour to breath.

Threw a surprising amount of sediment given its relative youth. Displays aromas of blackberries, currants, fancy oak, cocoa, vanilla, and spices. Not very complex but pleasantly tasty, showing lush black fruit, sweet tannin, and good length.

Out of bottle aroma of cherry or strawberry pie settled into a dark berry nose with some hints of mineral. Nice aroma. Flavor of dark berries and licorice ending with a hint of coco. California cab prototyped. Enjoyed it.

This opaque crimson wine shows nice aromas of black currants, spice, vanilla and chocolate. It is full-bodied on the palate, with low-to-medium acidity, medium sweet tannins, well-integrated alcohol (listed as 14.7%) and black fruit-dominated flavors. The oak is a bit heavy-handed (albeit tolerable), while the middle palate is solid. The wine concludes with a smooth, medium-length finish. This is a very well-made Napa Cab with just a bit too much oak for my taste buds. I should also admonish owners …

This wine needs more time. There is a solid core of dark fruit but the tannins / rough edges get in the way. I am sure these tannins and rough edges will integrate well, and in a few years the wine will be quite good.

Bright, deep garnet color with a charcoal and young deep red fruit nose. Dark cherries, with some sweet red cherry and raspberry highlights, some cedar and anise, tons of tannin and a bit out of balance. Seems it's young and will smooth out in a year or two. This has real potential and a high QPR.

Blind Tasting - Red Blends from California and Washington (My Place - Washington, DC) : Aromas of ground coffee, cherry liqueur and notes of rhubarb. Rich and jammy on the palate, but really firm tannins provide structure. Lots of red fruit (red currant, red apple peel, no joke) mixed with flavors of vanilla bean and toasted coconut. A solid cabernet that will gain complexity over the next few years.
