Not enough time to write a proper review but agree with the last comment. This wine is drinking exceptionally right now. Dark cherry on the nose, confirmed by the palate plus strawberry and herbs. Firm tannin and bright acid. Well balanced. Very enjoyable.

Introduction to Tuscany wine tasting (Ksiazki i Wino) : This was my second time with the Rosso 2019, and a confirmation of the first time. This is a Rosso di Montalcino with great character, starting from a quite complex nose of cherries, herbs, spices and intense palate. It was medium body and full of freshness. Quite long finish.

Has a dried berry and floral bouquet with herbal notes, I detected hints of thyme. Dried cherry flavors has a mineral stoniness ,well structured tannins. Medium bodied, easy to drink.

This was probably five years past it’s prime. Color was typical orange bricking in the rim Nose still had a bit of life but fading quickly. Palate was interesting but very tired and lacked enjoyment

Drank with dinner of grilled sausage, sliced tomatoes, leftover polenta and noodles with roasted broccoli. Wine was very good with red, stone fruit notes, mild tannin and a soft finish. The 2019 vintage seems ripe and softer. Quite good on a warm, summer evening. We served it chilled and gave it about 15-20 minutes to warm up.

Better than the Brunellos that I have been drinking lately! Young, but drinks like it has some age. Perfect with spaghetti and meatballs, and on its own! 4.1 stars.

On second swirling it smells so good - classic Sangiovese all the way.

Montalcino 2021 Brunello Trip; 8/26/2021-9/1/2021 (Montalcino, Sienna Province, Italy) : Second Brunello vineyard from my 2021 Montalcino tour was one of my top favourites - Ciacci Piccolomini. First up a 2019 Rosso. Dark purple brown hue, soft fruity aroma. Subtle first taste of red fruits, cherries and blackberries, and quick finish medium linger. Slight dryness on finish but nothing notable in development. A good drinking wine.

I get white peper, dried figs and a bit of oak on the nose. It has medium light body, good tannins and a lively acidity that lifts it up. The alcohol is unavoidable but I don’t mind. Better dan expected.

Very good for the price. Strawberry, fig, with some raspberry licorice flavors and smoky/grilled herbs. I also get faint vegetal notes, like grilled eggplant and mushrooms. Could use a bit more acid, but I like it.

Text book Rosso from Ciacci again. Light ruby colour, charming nose of strawberry, rhubarb and cherry. But also some thyme and mushrooms. On the palate, clean acidity, still quiet vibrant tannins, and then a repetition from the nose, rhubarb and strawberry, combined with herbs and forestfloor. Overall unmistakingly Ciacci, well structured and ready to go. At some 13€ a real must have.

A coravin pour to assess potential. Bright medium ruby. Ripe raspberry, iron and some alcoholic heat. Concentrated raspberry and strawberry with a hint of brown caramel. Very young and shows its unfinished edges. Moderate (and wishing for more) acidity and medium firm tannins. Hope the alcohol will integrate with some bottle age.

This might have been great once but my bottle was way past its prime. Faint whiff of brett. Fruit muted. Slightly sour edge. Drinkable but not great. Recommend drinking up.

This is my last bottle of this wine, which was in good condition. However, I continue to not be all that impressed with this Brunello, especially for the price I paid for it. The acidity is very predominate, but it is still has some very nice fruit. On the palate there are notes of dried cherries, saddle leather, and licorice. It has a medium finish.

I am not rating this bottle because it was at high shoulder level with a leaky cork. The wine is ok, but not inspiring. I couldn't say it is because the bottle may be compromised a little because of the faulty cork or if it is more of the same experience that I have had with this wine as before. But I am glad that I only have one bottle left. With those qualifications, I can say that it has …

Similar notes to my last bottle. The wine is good, but does not live up to its persona. Nice tart cherry fruit with balanced acidity, Italian soil and minerals. These should be consumed soon.

Same notes as last time. The wine's acidity dominates the dusty cherry fruit on the palate. A nice, but not great Brunello.

I agree with another recent taster, this wine is good, but not great. For me, the acidity was the most predominate characteristic of the wine with the fruit playing 2nd or 3rd fiddle. It is a very mature wine at this point, but will last for a few more years.

- Crimsom color with medium forming legs and aromas of smokey and strawberry jam. It's balanced and has flavours of chocolate and black currant with a medium/full body. Round texture with a long finish.

The tannins are starting to resolve but it still could use few more years. Flowery and earthy nose. Sweet cherries and carmel in the mouth. Improved with air time. Nice but not exceptional.

Decanted for 2 hours. Initially nose was muted, but after 3+ hours started to emerge. Herbal smokey nose with a touch of rose. Tasted of sea salt caramel, black cherry, truffles and game. Finish is short but sweet and tannins are present but not too overpowering. This one is tasty now, but will benefit from 3-5 more years of cellaring. Enjoyed with a nice New York strip and grilled shrimp for our Christmas feast!

Clear pale garnet core of moderate intensity out to a moderate red/brown edge and thin watery rim - youthful with some development. Clean light floral and cherry nose of moderate intensity but still very tight and closed. Dry with cherry, dried fruit and spice of moderate intensity on the palate. Moderate all the way - acid, body and alcohol with mod+ but soft tannins. Moderately long finish with the cherry and spice continuing. Modern in style so it can be …
