Virtually the same notes as 9/18/09. Very consistent drinking Zin. Nothing outstanding but still very good and a nice price. Highly recommend this in the under $20 range. 50+4+12+16+6=88 pts.

A very pale cranberry in color. I agree with a previous review that it looked more like a Pinot Noir in the glass. Nose of dark fruit, cranberry and florals with a touch of cocoa. The bouquet was white pepper, a touch of bramble and a hint of vanilla. It was rather light bodied which is uncommon to me for a Zinfandel. An OK Zin. Very light and red fruit Zin. Looked like a young Pinot in the glass. Not my style for a Zin. Label stated complex and robust , but it was neither- very simple and light wine. Was not a bad Zin, but not what it claims.
