Domaine Odoul-Coquard Clos Vougeot

Having found their ‘17 Charmes Chambertin open a deliciously complex on a few occasions, thought I’d open this to find a closed, massively tannic behemoth of a wine, so popped back in the cellar for 48 hours. Now weightless, concentrated, complex dark cherry melds with spice, bitter almond and some savoury soy notes. Quite delicious.

Great concentration, plenty of matter here. Dark cherry fruit, deep and broad. Young. Wood well integrated. Great future ahead.
