Well made but not especially interesting. It's a lightweight expression of Syrah (at 13.2% alcohol), showing bright red and dark fruit and not a whole lot else. I like the balance and sense of restraint, but it has none of the other savoury/peppery/other Syrah flavours I'd expect - it's balanced but fairly anonymous. Easy to drink a glass with pizza, boring beyond that.

Subtle, elegant, restrained. Not stuck in first gear but perhaps second (for now). Not decanted and I would def recommend if drinking anytime soon.

Nice fresh plum + black fruits on nose. Noticeable oak on the nose. Palate has blackberry, plums, and pepper — very much a northern Rhone feel. Finish is long, tight, and tannic (even on night 2). Very powerful wine and will improve with age. By night 3, this wine is really settled into a groove and very expressive. The quality of fruit and minimal intervention are front an center. I’m continually impressed by Haines’ winemaking…he lets the fruit speak for …

Medium body, dry, outstanding QPR, plum forward, really nice finish, smooth throughout, with a creamy touch. Really enjoyed this.

Herbal and earthy from start to finish. Dusty tannins mellow with decanting. Savory olive flavors, juicy dark cherry, blueberry spices and currant lead to a creamy, seductive finish. Surprisingly outstanding
