Wildcard Wines - Tiplers Blind Tasting Group; 8/23/2021-8/24/2021 (Grapes & Grains, Temecula, CA) : Tasted blind. Incorrectly guessed as Spanish Garnacha based blend. Aromatic grapey, smashed berry-cherry fruits along with some mint and band-aid (brett). Ripe, plush red and black-fruited mouthfeel combined with pepper, smoke, tobacco, and menthol. Chewy tannin, medium acidity, high alcohol. Everything screams Rhone, especially So. Rhone.
