This bottle had a bit of seepage, which is surprising given the quality and shape of Valentini's corks. But the wine seemed unaffected. It had the typical complexity of Valentini's Cerasuolo, less wild than in its youth, more harmonious and evolved. On the palate this probably had a bit of residual sugar, and the alcohol was felt. Not one of the best bottles but always an experience to drink one of these.

Surprisingly, this needs air. An hour or so in this really starts to sing. It’s lost most of its strawberry fruit but the secondary flavors are gorgeous and totally balanced and energetic.

Some signs of seepage. An ok bottle but a bit flat / lacking the wild energy of better bottles.

Nice, but a little lean compared to the Emidio Pepe. Tournament of Rosés

Blind serviert, vorher noch nie getrunken, toller Rose, fruchtig, Himbeere und Kirsche, aber nicht vordergründig langweilig, sondern mit viel Struktur. Genialer Begleiter zum Rindertartar. 92

Oh dear, I wasn't prepared for this. I mean I knew it was Valentini, but wow, this just has so much energy and purity going on. Descriptors would be an injustice. Find this wine and fasten your seatbelt - it's a great ride. Love it. Bends the mind(nose) and the palate(taste) alike. highly recommended Audozed 1 hour, served non-blind over 2 hours. https://italianwine.blog/

Thin-skinned Varietals & a Rosé like no other (Extra Space) : Appearance is clear, pale intensity, unique brownish pink colour. Legs. Nose is clean, pronounced intensity, with aromas of barbecued meat, smoky earth, clay, loam. Developing. What on EARTH!? This is a Rosé wine!??? On the palate, dry, high acidity, medium+ alcohol, low tannins, medium body. Pronounced flavour intensity, with flavours of barbecued meat, smoky clayey earth, minerality, sour cherries, strawberries. Medium+ finish. Ok I admit this will be a …
