Good ager for the money. Still has firm tannins and a subtle blue fruit core. Secondary notes of leather, burnt toast and cedar. Could hold but why?

Classic BDX. Tary, cedar/cigar box flavors. Despite 3 hour decant, very tannic. had to Vinturi to make drinkable. Just confirms my migration away from old world BDX reds.

Unbelievable QPR; now has a powerful nose with reams of dark fruit and earth. Wish I had more!!!

15% alcohol, yikes! I don't remember ever seeing this on a Bordeaux label. The cork has good length and shows hardly any wine penetration. The colour is pretty dark, with a youthful purplish tinge at the edge of the rim. The nose is dominated by something reminiscent of incense. The mouth is even worse, with intense notes of oak at first and a slightly rough finish. I get the impression of a deliberate use of oak as a flavouring agent, …

Nice deep purple. Nose is subtle but very Merlot like. Wine appears full bodied. In mouth very present, full bodied, the merlot comes out again; it is suave drink with a skuight and pleasant acidic finish.

The wine looks purple colored. The legs are slow. There is moderate sediment in the bottle. It smells like blackberry, black currant (cassis) and gooseberry. It tastes like blackberry, black currant (cassis), oak and cinnamon. The body is full. The wine has round texture. The wine finishes long. The wine has low acidity.

Similar to my first tasting note, opens beautifully after a couple of hours in the decanter. Curious to see how this does with two more years, have one more bottle left. Still had some significant tannin left, superb with roast chicken .

Lots of cherry up front with vanilla and cassis following. Opens up nicely after two hours in the decanter. The nose and taste improved dramatically. Lovely wine for the price. Served with beef stew.

A nice, if relatively uninspiring, pom. I drank over the course of two days. Day two saw marginal improvement over day one, as the fruit became rounder. I will sit on the other bottle for five years and see what happens.

First time I have tried this since the 62. Significant improvement in wine-making since then Floral notes on nose, touches of earthy marzipan; nice tannins and not-quite-austere fruit balancing some complex touches Good length. On revisiting notes, revised to 89

Yes, this is a good wine, a real pomerol, satin, lots of tannins but ripe, creamy; in the midpalate I miss some body, but if this wine flashes out I see the 90 points

Pretty dark blood-red ruby. Good red legs. Fragrant; meaty, anise, iron. Rich mouthfeel with good grip and red fruit flavors. Age-worthy, but good now with grilled steak. Nice for the price. 4-12-15-8: 89/100.

I do not agree with Robert Parker calling this wine a "Bistro Pomerol". Yes: He is lacking depth and intensity. But: It has the potential to become a classic Pomerol for a very fair price. The 2010 vintage possesses a bouquet of flowers, blueberry liqueur, and black currants, and offers a beautiful fruit character. However, he requires some more years of aging to outbalance the tannins.

Medium maroon color. Decanted and consumed over about six hours. Expressive nose of berries, baking spice, barbecue sauce, and charcoal, with a gentle hint of oak. The palate is more reserved by comparison, with faint flavors of celery. This is somewhat ephemeral flavor-wise, with the dominant Merlot (75%) making the mouthfeel very smooth. The tannins are gentle and don't require much aging to mellow. This is drinking well now and would make a versatile food pairing (we enjoyed it with …

Completely closed, this wine is hard to assess, but I think that this wine has the right components to become a classic pomerol, but be patient.

Light, feminine, medium bodied and focused on the red red berry side side of the style range. There are no real faults here, but it lacks the depth and sensuality of what makes Pomerol great.

Quite dumb on the nose; nice texture on the palate. Elegant, rich wine but very tannic. 86-89
