This is a very nice, simple Bordeaux with soft fruit, an abundance of earth and a surprisingly long finish. It's hard to find too many other wines from Bordeaux that deliver like this for under $9 a bottle.

2015 CELLAR REDUCTION. I just barely gave it a thumbs up, and only because of the bargain price. A simple CS-based Bordeaux that serves well as a table wine but does not have the personality to be a cocktail wine. Berries, cassis and a bit of tobacco. There are far better daily drinkers at this price

Nice edges! This is our 4th bottle since we purchased a 1/2 case last June. The first bottle was a disappointment, but since then we have enjoyed this 100% Cab with several meals - especially good with lasagna. Slow to medium legs, garnet, with fruit and cigar box nose. Front of the mouth is cassis and pencil lead. Short finish.

I really don't understand some post. Indeed, if you want to compare a wine, do it with wines from the same area! This wine is from Medoc, very classic cabernet sauvignon, ripe, needs to age a few years, but when you let it decanter 2 hours, then the palate is plenty of red berries, black fruits and peppery notes. Not an impressive nose...very light aroma with a strong alcohol....Too much acid with an lingering vinegarl...Perhaps it was flawed...but from the reviews I think it just sucks....

I found this much more acceptable than most posters. Certainly a simple wine but soft tannins, dark fruit, and good acid made it a great buy for the price and good with food. It was much better on the third night than the first.

Ruby red color. Nose is blackberries and perhaps a bit of leather. Mild, somewhat thin tasting. Not a full flavored wine. Could use much more body and in my opinion a bit more fruit.

Purchased for braising purposes, I tried just a touch with some seared beef. As expected for the price point (Costco), a relatively simple affair. Light to medium body, medium acid, light to medium tannins. Some leather and tobacco upfront, with just a little tart black fruit and a slightly astringent finish that hinted at some minerality. This medium ruby wine was Vinturi-decanted and serially tasted over the ensuing three hours. The nose shows simple aromas of black fruit and the light-to-medium-bodied palate shows comparable simple flavors. The acidity is good, tannins nonexistent and alcohol tame (13.5%). The middle palate is thin and the finish is short. I realize that this is a very inexpensive wine, but an oenophile can do much better than purchasing this over-cropped, eviscerated fruit juice. Drink...never.
