Domaine Damien Martin Pinot Noir Bourgogne

Mushroom on the nose, also a faint hint of spice. Primarily cherry on the palate. Perhaps some wood on the backend. Bright, refreshing acidity. Great to drink now. Decanted one hour.

Decently enjoyable, but I wasn't very impressed with this. Smells a little smoky and reductive with very little fruit to help- a bit of cranberry and other vague fruit, but it feels underripe. Palate has some good energy, but the whole thing is very thin and a bit harsh at the same time. Felt like acceptable $12 bargain bin Pinot, not something $20+.
