Decanted. On the nose, a mix of cinnamon, nutmeg, plums and something like marzipan then moving toward some herbaceous notes. Reasonable acidity on the palate, with an interesting mix of dark and sour cherries. Just a hint of structure on the finish. Interesting, but not sure what I would pair this with, maybe a pretty gamey but somewhat lean meat. Update: on day 2 this is really fruit forward and not so complex.
