Loved this--jammy notes of red-purple fruits balanced with minerality and flint. Wonderful wine

Last UK bottle - popped and poured - v attractive from the off - rich plum / blackberry fruit with cinnamon nutmeg, long palate with complexity, ends well. Good value and at its peak I think.

Part bottle by Coravin. With haggis for Burns Night. Similar to before, lovely balance here between the elements. Alcohol not too evident, fruit, acidity and tannins all in harmony. Right in the drinking window. EDIT : Finished the bottle the following week. Coravin has adverse impact by stirring the very fine tannins I think. Let it settle. Not as good as first half. Flat, less fruit, less interest and intensity.

This is sensational CdP. From opening- blackberries, liquorice and garrigue on the nose continuing and wrapping a rich but balanced interesting palate, good length, balance and finish with some grip. Perfect and what a bargain compared to more famous CdPs.Wow - 92 is almost underscoring it and for wines at £25/$30 I should go for 95/6.

Similar to before. Probably better on first night, with steak pie. Served slightly cool then, very pure red fruit, raspberries and redcurrants on the nose, then spice. Same on palate then very fine tannins on finish which coated the mouth in a good way. Alcohol became more apparent as it warmed up a little in the glass, and also on second night when the fruit wasn't quite so dominant. Very enjoyable on a winter's night with hearty food. Will keep …

Deep vibrant purplish red. Spice and red fruits on the nose. Beautifully integrated on the palate, very smooth and alcohol level not dominant. Some tannins at the end, but unobtrusive. Drinking beautifully just now.

First of six. Deep colour, purplish but not bright. Grenache and Mourvedre dominant on nose and palate. Good fruit and spice, with some acidity. Very smooth wine too, little evident tannin. Didn't feel like 14.5% alcohol either. Finished the bottle two days later, tiring a little in the way that Southern Rhone can when open for a day or so. Still pleasant, but wouldn't have lasted any longer. Probably approaching its peak now.

Interesting expression of CdP. Dark garnet color showing no signs of age. The nose starts out dominated by oak and then becomes strongly reminiscent of young port or amarone, like prunes, dried flowers, and crushed stones are leaping from the glass. The attack is full of brambly purple fruit with a mineral streak that rides atop the firm but managed tannins and mouth watering acidity. I don't have any experience with this producer, but the backbone and fruit seem sufficient …

Printemps du Châteauneuf-du-Pape tasting. (La salle des fêtes in Châteauneuf-du-Pape) : Red berries and a lot of herbs and spices in the bouquet and on the palate. Same on the palate, ripe fruits and very juicy. Good acidity and round, mild tannin. Good garrigue.

Printemps Châteauneuf-du-Pape 2017; 4/7/2017-4/9/2017 (Châteauneuf-du-Pape) : Couleur : violine. Corps assez ample, …

Medium bodied, forward, fresh blend of 60% Grenache, 30% Mourvedre and 10% Syrah delivers a spicy, floral, black raspberry and thyme infused character that drinks well young.

It is a lighter wine but full of red fruit and very long and balanced acidity. A fresh fruity pleasure to drink.

Ruby red. Some flowery notes on the nose mixed with fresh red fruit and peach. Very enjoyable medium bodied palate with red fresh fruit, plum and raspberry overtones and present tannins. Backdrop of cedar wood and tobacco. Elegant and enjoyable already now. It will maybe mellow and display some more fruity plum with time but I think this could be enjoyed the way it is and would not wait for long cellaring as this is very good as it is.

Vibrant, deep purple color. Dense nose of blackberry, roasted plums and cassis, backed up by notes of charcoal and pepper. I also get these great lavender and sweet clove aromas. Solid grip to the tannins, but they’re manageable, and the wine shows some medium acid. I love the way the juicy cassis and blackberry fruit is laced with pepper, cedar, anise, roasted chestnut and ginger snap elements. Impressive graphite, iron and mineral tones. Long and very complex, this is a …
