Random wines tasted during service (Oinoscent) : The wine shows deep golden colour. In the nose, the wine shows fully developed profile, pineapple marmelade notes, some heavier floral notes, fine spices, ethereal and decadent. Palate with vibrant high acidity, grapefruit, apple and pear, decadent, juicy concentrated, long finish. Feels at peak

A beautiful golden color. Fine gooseberry notes with a pronounced mineral layer. Add-ons of candid apricot, honey and fresh salad herbs. Only slightly sweet on the palate where actually the crisp acidity dominates the mouthfeel, leaving you with a more fresh impression. Continues to drink well and deliver with a solid level of consistency. But at the same time don’t see any improvement potential either going forward.

Fruit of quince as well as fresh and candid apricot. Sweet flavors from honey and spice. Fresh palate with decent acidity, a fresher fruit but losing a bit of weight and texture, hence a weaker bottle for the vintage.

Candid stone fruit, apricot, honey, bees wax and a mineral layer of cold stones. A nicely fresh palate with a good acidic backbone. But also slightly thin on aromatics, only adding a citric layer without expanding the complexity.

Fantastic Riesling. For me, who dislikes gasoline/petrol notes in wine, this was perfect as it didn't have any. It's sweet but not too sweet, with great acidity cutting through. I went back for more multiple times on this. It would be an excellent pairing for spicy Asian cuisine and age effortlessly.

Dinner with OG gang : My contribution. Consistent with my previous experiences with Keller sweets; piercing acidity and minerality with attractive citrus and lychee fruit. Some honey notes and viscosity developed with air, no rush to drink this but in a good spot now. WOTN for most including myself.

Brief notes only: Dried apricot fruit along with fresher herbal elements. Still nicely fresh acidity that works well with the fine, creamy texture. Good length finish and aromatic intensity. Drinks beautifully today.

Gooseberry fruit with elements of dried apricots. Bees wax herbal complexity. Sufficient acidity but at the lower end of what’s needed. Nice intensity however.

Brief notes from social event. Candid apricot, fine fresh herbs, also mint. A creamy texture adding more honey and melon notes. The palate still had some residual CO2 which actually complements a sufficiently fresh acidity. This summarizes 2 bottles opened after each other. One had a rather soft cork and was more evolved with additionally nutty elements in the aroma profile, the other was fresher. But mostly similar experiences and consistent aromatics.

Glass: Zalto Universal Popped and poured. Clear, deep amber color. Clean, medium+ intense, fully developed nose with lots of sweet fruit, apricot, honey, freshness. Multi-layered and complex. On the palate sweet, balanced by the high, racy acidity. 7,5% abv. Creamy and mouthcoating. Fine sweet exotic fruit, very mineral, great tension and intensity. Very long and lingering. 93-94

No notes taken. Popped and poured. Medium amber golor. Lots of botrytis. Racy acidity that balances the sweetnes quite well. Intense and long. Drinks well now, has lots of life left fo another decade or two. 94

Obviously classy German Auslese Riesling, I had pegged - due to its quality and its stage of evolution - as a 2001. Deep gold. Popped and poured with a slight spritz. Deep gold colour. Double blind I was so deeply wrong here. I thought Mosel from the 2008 or 2009 vintage. A wonderful vital nose with a melange of herbs, yellow plums, quince, a bit of lychee, white flowers and hint of exotic and vanilla crumble. Very complex and playful. On the palate this Auslese shows it’s broader shoulders which is typical for the Hubacker vineyard. The acidity is still so present but super, super fine and interwoven. Tasted blind. Wonderful honeysuckle nose, hint of petrol and burnt rubber. Very good sweetness, notes of cantaloupe and pineapple. Long. Really good now.

This bottle was just fabulous. Still notably sweet but great texture without being heavy or thick, good balancing acidity and a nice custard-apple/cherimoya thing going on.

Getting there. Fabulous intensity, balancitng acidity and ripeness work well with the "Hubacker" element here. The spritz and disjointedness of its youth is a thing of the past. Early part of what will be a long window.

Incredibly young. Tight, less exotic and flamboyant than the #26 Spat. Little Spritz. With some air in the glass, settles down and shows lots of acid/mineral balance with some nice botrytis thickness. Forget about this for another 4 years - not pleasurable of itself yet.
