Forrest Estate Riesling The Doctors'

AJLB tried 2019 and loved it!

Clear pale green/straw in colour. Medium intense nose of floral, lime, lemongrass and mineral. Medium intensity with medium acid, body and alcohol - very well balanced and a very tasty young Riesling. Palate is lime, mineral and a sappiness from the fruit acid that refreshes the palate and makes you want to take another sip. Very well made. The finish is medium with the lime and mineral continuing.

Lots of green apple and lime, with hints of minerality on the nose. Off dry with plenty of zing in the front palate. Fades a little in the finish. A very pleasant refreshing wine.

Touch plastic and bright. Natural low alcohol. Very flowery. High RS. Just barley holds onto its acid. A bit tough on the palate, chewy. Not that fun. At $18 I don't quite understand it.

Tight nose, hint of sweet limes. Nice acidity on the front plate but disappears too quickly, making it a slightly flabby wine. The low alcohol percentage is enjoyable. Fairly long lingering finish of limes and apples.

"2011" Sydney International Wine Show - stewarding notes; 10/17/2010-10/22/2010 (Blue Mountains, NSW) : {screwcap, 8.5%} A very transparent effort, this. It shows very little on the nose but for a few elusive green apple notes. The palate is very soft; off-dry with a little sweet apple and honeydew flavour, but insufficient acid to keep it from lying somewhat limply on the palate. Kabinett-wannabe’s should have a bit more zing than this.
