Domaine de Terrebrune Bandol Calcaire du Trias

Terrebrune's reds need a very long time to come around. This wine was totally uninteresting on day 1. On day 2 it begins to open and show some fruit in a medium-weight body, but still quite shy. Potential for 92-93 eventually.

Very disappointing bottle, hardly more than a generic red, no suggestion of Bandol, much less Terrebrune. Cellared since original relase.

Belle robe rubis foncé presque violacé. Au nez des effluves de fruits noirs, garrigue, prune, olive. Une bouche soyeuse, ronde à la finale interminable de fruits noirs, d'épices et d'olives. J'aime

deep ruby colour. developing aromas and flavours of blueberry, raspberry coulis and red and black cherry laced with baking and exotic spice, pepper, dried savoury herbs, leather and funky soil. very expressive in nose and mouth with plus body and acidity balancing the still fierce tannins. it has a dense fruit and spice core with only faint layering at the moment and very good length. i would give this one a bit more time… this bottle, at least, seemed to …

Deep red color, scents of blueberry and exotic spices, a terrifically balanced red, bright red berry and licorice flavors with a dry herbal finish, taught tannins, serious and country, distinctive and unique, a beautiful wine

Classic bandol. Ruby red color. Nose of redcurrants and barnyard. On the palate, red fruits, leather, barnyard funk and spice. Very easy to drink already, well done.

Bu avec un Pibarnon 2019. Rubis - cerise avec reflet mauve. Un nez complexe où s'entremêle le trèfle, vanille, tannage, poivron, cuir, goudron avec des fruits noirs. La bouche est bien agréable avec des tanins pâteux. Le milieu de bouche un peu mince. En retro c'est légèrement crayeux. Très bon et très différent du Pibarnon qui lui était plus fruité.

Encore un superbe Terrebrune au saveurs d'herbes, d'olives, pâte de tamarin, réglisse et de fruits rouges. Une bouche savoureuse, soyeuse et dense. Aussi bon que le les 2 autres millésimes.

Nice assemblage Mourvedre, Grenache and Cinsault for this Bandol. Fresh and easy to drink. Maybe too young.
