Moillard-Grivot Clos de la Roche

Another solid bottle of this; not really grand cru quality, but priced accordingly and still not bad for a tough vintage; the nose has some dried tobacco, forest floor, plum and dried cherry; the palate has solid depth and still good freshness. Balance is good and tannins mostly resolved. Solid, but not a great CDLR Definitely more advanced on day 2 and borderline falling apart, so I'd drink sooner rather than later.

This was very good, though seemed slightly advanced. The nose has lovely dark berry fruits with lots of forest floor and earthy notes. A hint of spice and dried violet. The palate is mature and nicely integrated with resolved tannins and a solid depth for the level. Finishes nicely. Seems to be drinking well and probably wouldn't hold these too long.

This has a big nose of plum and black raspberry, very earthy and has some definite sauvage; the palate is a little bit clunky right now, but the concentration of the fruit seems to be enough to allow this to further integrate and harmonize; should be good in 4-5 years.
