Delicious blackberry, plum, and floral notes on the nose and silky palate with fine tannins on the long finish. Drinking beautifully!

Wow ! I’m amazed how this aged beautifully! It still feels young but the tannins are perfectly integrated. Perfect balance.

Cellared) Delicious. Has aged beautifully. Still looks young to the eye, dense dark crimson. Blackcurrant, blackberry, strawberries, cool fruit to the nose. Smooth on the palate, fine dusty tannins, whopping, fresh bright fruit, beautiful balance with restrained tannins and fresh acid. Likely at its peak now. Enjoy!

Dark but very flat, little there. Corked perhaps without the other overt signs?

Had this wine again, last time years ago. It aged nicely. Really felt like a polished Argentina Malbec good mouthfeel and lots of acidity buffering the fruit. Did not come across as massive as last time. On the other hand, there is very modest complexity here beyond some blue fruit and oak.

Like a great, concentrated syrah from the Rhône, meaty and smoky and delicious. PNP works fine, was ready to go. 2011 was a great vintage and this shows it with plentiful fruit and elegance. Mouth filling, great finish. I'll revisit the 2nd half on day 2 with lamb.

Wonderful ! Silky, rich and fresh at the same time. Long. Blackberry, black olive flavors dominate. At its peak I guess. No hurry though.

Drank alongside Tinta roriz 2013 and Reserva old vine 2013. This bottle was the best and is ready to drink compared to the two others. A lot more fruit than in the Tinta roriz. Drink now but probably good for at least 5 years.

Coming together beautifully! Paired impeccably with the tapas at Meson Sabika!

Strong blackberry flavors. Black licorice and dried cranberry on the finish. Drink now and for the next 1-3 years I guess. It’s beginning to evolve.

Sérieusement, beaucoup de matière ici. Le nez est époustouflant sur la tarte aux bleuets. Arômes complexe de fruits rouge et de bleuets avec des prunes. Très long en bouche, très ample et complet. Demande un repas assez costaux.

So I said that I'd wait 3-5 years, but broke down and cracked open my other bottle over the weekend and was just as pleased as I was during the summer. What a lovely wine, a deep/dark inky purple with an explosive dark fruit palate and sweet spices on the nostrils. Very good during cocktail hour!

Decanted for 1 hour before dinner and enjoyed 24 hours later as well. Dark black color. Blackberry, plum, charred oak and cedar on nose. On palate, sweet cherry, black cherry, all-spice with medium+ body, medium acids and medium tannins. Long finish. As good on night 2 as night 1. 92-93+

My dinner party loved this wine last night. I had it decanted for about 4.5 hours before anyone took their first sip, and I fell in love with the nose. Some toasted nutmeg, vanilla oak, and other sweet spices made this very inviting. A member of the group said that the nose reminded them of Christmas, and I knew exactly what they meant. The palate was that of a luxurious New World wine, with an explosive array of black fruits, …

Tasty Touriga Nacional, but lacking some of the rich complexity of earlier vintages. Still young and should develop nicely.

Another dinner with friends (Singapore) : Last bottle. Dark garnet. Very big and sweet - while the label says 14.5% alcohol, it tastes more like 15-15.5%. Compared to the bottle I had a year ago, the oak was still present but already better integrated. Long finish. This is certainly a nice and quality wine, but like say Amarone, I find it hard to sip more than half a glass.

Berries and chocolate on the nose (like if you smell a bag of Brookside dark chocolate and berries !) Add a lot of plum in the mouth with some dry fig and nuts on the finish. Full bodied with a touch of sweetness. The finish is not perfect now, a little too acid. I think it will be better in a year or two. A potential of 93-94 score.

Dark ruby/purple color turning violet at the rim with a transparent edge. The nose gives off aromas of dark berries, cocoa and floral hints. The palate is full-bodied with a creamy texture that's somehow very manageable and refined. Flavors of blueberry, plum, boysenberry, and pain-grille form the core that finishes quite lengthy and juicy with dusty, refined tannin that effuse smoke, graphite, and vanilla oak. This was a revelation, and totally unexpected. I was expecting a brute, powerful, persistent, and …

Cool Wine Tasting Group - Portugal (Elgin South Africa) : (Tasted Blind) Deep black-red to crimson in colour, the nose is ripe and intense, with open and powerful aromas. The palate opens with a wealth of ripe, juicy fruit, gently spiced and framed by soft, powdery tannins and nudged along with a fresh acidity. The mid-palate is sensual and smooth with black olives, balsamic and tarry notes sitting with a cigar box, roasted meat and a noted influx of toasty …

Very dark, blackish crimson. Nose of dark fruit, cake, gingerbread, caramel, modern, rich. Full bodied, sweet, rich, good but very Amarone like. Way too much for me and I also don't see this to go with food. I preferred this vs. the rustic blends from this producer. If you like mass, this may be your wine.

Decanted 5 hours. Dark black plum nose. This offers up fresh dark red berries, creosote, moderate tannins, and good acidity. A touch of youthful oak, but far less than some older vintages. A very long lingering finish that is a carbon copy of the palate. Few producers make this single varietal so well, Crasto is one of them. 93(+) Points

Pre-Christmas Offline (Rotisserie Jules, London) : Mid cherry. Quite an expressive nose, mulberry, damson etc. Light, cherry-fruited palate, some sweetness coming through. Nice.
