Clear medium garnet with tears. Clean, developed nose with a medium intensity. There are aromas of leather and stewed red plum. Swirling reveals cedar, raspberry, black cherry, and dried blackcurrant. There is an underlying green vegetal note. The wine is dry with medium acidity, high alcohol, and medium body. A bit better than I could have hoped for. Never have seen sub $15 SA wines in Australia before but here it is. Modest build and the fruit is on the fade but still very much drinkable. Dry fruited and dry red fruits with capsicum. Soft fine tannin to finish. Pleasant for sure.
