Chateau de Tracy, Pouilly Fume

After finding the nose somewhat tired, I was pleased to discover that at least the palate is still fresh and pleasant enough. That being said, I would personally suggest drinking up sooner rather than later as I don't see this evolving in a positive manner. Pale golden color, notes of nectarine, peppermint, lemon, and citrus on the nose. Tastes of citrus, pink grapefruit, lemon, lime, and golden delicious apple. Light-medium body, with crisp, bracing acidity, and a medium finish. A zesty Sauvignon blanc, this would definitely be a food friendly wine.

Surprisingly a strange yeasty smell at at first which blew off quickly. Then warmer aromatic notes of flowers, grass, perfume, elderflower and tropical fruit. A good example of a Sauvignon Blanc.

Unusual. Quite full-bodied and only medium plus acidity. Warm-climate tones of peach mixed with typical green sauvignon flavours.

Almost a year on from my 3/5/2022 note, confirms my impression. It has evolved naturally although there was a bit of Kiwi SB herbaceousness (otherwise known as ... armpit) that blew off. Became elegant and typical of the domaine. Good value too.

Elderflower! Medium bodied, some Gooseberries and mango, and pears. Quite tart and bitter, and long, aftertaste. Works better with food than by it self. A few years might do the trick…

Colour: light gold, bright, clear. Nose: full, v ripe, typical Tracy notes, honeysuckle, ripe gooseberry, touch herbaceous in a good way. Taste: light/med body, rounded, good acidity, herbaceous and gooseberry notes dominate leading to long finish v much w gooseberry and a touch of bitterness. Overall, a classic Tracy with typical terroir and smoky flavours. Obviously v young but has good potential.
