Dark with ruby highlights. Dark candied cherry and spice nose. Medium to full bodied, crushed raspberries, cherry pie, baking spices, soft tannins, a bit of heat, and a long finish. Fun to drink and a good value.

A Sangiovese blend from Napa, CA. Deep ruby, opaque, almost black core and syrupy/viscous @14.9% abv (sic). Aromas of black fruit, licorice and leather. Dry-off dry, medium acidity, medium(-) tannin, high alcohol with heat, and full body. Palate follows noses with blackberry, dried black prunes, kalamata olives, licorice. Velvety texture, with medium high-alcohol sweet-ish finish. Fairly linear, lacks elegance, structure and spine. A concentrated, over-extracted crowd-pleaser.

Better than expected based on previous reviews. Nicely followed a Chardonnay earlier in the evening. I’m a huge fan of the big Janzen reds but I enjoyed this one too. Only one I have but I’d buy more if I could.

Disappointing Used to be a great pizza wine. This is the second 2016 and equally disappointing as the first bottle. 2016 is just not their vintage. Weird taste on the finish.

PNP, open for business. Dark purple. Nose of black cherry. On the palate, sweet ripe purple and red fruit. Cherry and some tartness from the majority Sangiovese. Vanilla. Smooth tannins, slightly chewy finish. Lovely fruit forward weekday wine. Drink up.

Sweet and easy drinking red. No backbone, and lacks structure but went well with a red sauce bolognese made with sweet italian sausage. Perfect weekday pizza/pasta wine. Would buy again at $22.

This wine oozes red cherry cocktail, although it was easy enough to finish drinking. The nice acidity kept it fresh and palatable given the relatively thin body. There is structure but it's all high register and quick to dissipate on the finish... like the wine version of an undercut hairstyle.

3-Day Napa Cab Taste-Off: Vice Versa, B Cellars, Memento Mori, Alpha Omega, Purlieu, Janzen, Realm, Myriad, MACDONALD, Maybach, and more...; 2/7/2018-2/9/2018 (Napa) : A bit too fruity and plumy for my taste. A fun red meat pasta at Olive Garden type of wine, but that’s about it. A red cherry note competed with an alcohol-covered spice flavor that thinned out the delivery overall.

Pizza Night with Walt (Chris and Brig's House) : nose of sweet, honey, stewed fruit, and mushroom. I took me a good half hour of repeadily whiffing the decanter to finally put the pieces together. I would argue for extending the drinking windown on this wine, it's sitting in a very nice place right now.

A decent attempt to make a memorable wine. An almost crazy blend of Sangiovese, Cabernet Sauvignon, Petite Sirah, Viognier, Syrah, and Muscat Canelli. The result is a fruit forward, full bodied, but smooth mouth full of very good red wine. It just works. Dark color. All kinds of stuff going on with the nose. Big spicy black fruit with some currant. Hungarian oak. Balanced with enough tannin and acidity to hang with food, but also able to drink alone as …

i've been up and down on this wine, but last night the fruit and light vanilla were in perfect concert with dinner - grilled pumpkin swordfish with fruit salsa - think this wine is always about finding the right food to pair it with - on its own I think it's a bit flabby and obvious.

Opened a couple of hours prior and initially poured through a Vituri. On the nose it had bright raspberries, cherries and earthy cocoa. On the palate it has a good silky feel, and the raspberries and cherries continuing with a little brushy earthiness on a smooth finish. I was expecting a big in your face Cali blend but this was nicely balanced and restrained. It is not the most complex wine and it seemed to lack some acidity on the back …

A very well made wine, and very pleasing in its style. Forthcoming smell of strawberry and raspberry. Smooth and pleasant taste albeit lacking some real character and depth. A wine that most people would like but not a wine for bigger analysis.

Nose: Cherry with sage, underbrush and earth. Palate: Pleasant bright red fruits but a bit one dimensional, a tad bitter, and quick on the finish. Too bad the palate doesn't live up to what the nose promises. Decently made but not worth the mid $20s retail price asked, and don't stare at the funky label too long or even an opthalmologist won't be able to help you. If you want Sangiovese go Italian. Way better interpretation and way better QPR.

Interesting nose with lots of perfumed, red fruit dancing about. Huge fruit on the front, but a bit uni-dimensional from there (never leaves the front palette). A medium bodied fruit bomb with limited complexity.

nose: a quality sangiovese nose(which has been a problem with new world sangioveses for me) of dark cherry, plum, chocolate, and a bit of earth too. taste: nice plush feel with dark cherries, plum, chocolate, bits of tobbacco, and a bit of earth too overall: this is a quality american sangiovese. More chianti in style then brunello, this isn't over fruited and is well balanced. Nice plush attack of dark cherry that gives way to a earthen+plum finish

This was not as ready to rock as the last bottle (which may have been a touch advanced due to improper storage). It was also opened during along night of many other wines. Some leftovers the next day (stored in fridge) were more user-friendly, but still clearly not drinking at potential.
