Nice varietal typicity on the nose, real pruney and spicey with black peppercorns, thyme, and strawberry jam. Nice density on the palate with some subtle coarse tannins in the background. Kind of jammy mid-palate which is a varietal thing but it lacks the spice and acid components to balance. Bit of a shortish finish too which is a little disappointing.
